If your dog starts sniffing around and/or circling you have to hurry. Take them outside right away, because this is a sign, that they want to trample the grass down to have a poo. They do this to avoid having grass in the butt.

Menu - Don't order the animal around; clicker training is not command-based. If your pet does not respond to a cue, it is not disobeying; it just hasn't learned the cue completely. Find more ways to cue it and click it for the desired behavior. Try working in a quieter, less distracting place for a while. If you have more than one pet, separate them for training, and let them take turns.
Crate training is not the same as training your dog to go to the bathroom outside, so ideally the crate should be just big enough for your dog to stand up, lie down, and turn around in. If your dog learns that it’s okay to go potty on his bed, your dog will begin to feel it’s okay to go anywhere else in the house too.

If you take him outside and he doesn't go and you think he should have to, for example because he just ate and he usually goes after he eats (which he should), then bring him back inside and place him in his crate. This is not punishment, but rather a way to help your dog develop bladder and bowel control. Dogs do not prefer to eliminate where they sleep, so unless they have come from a puppy mill and are accustomed to lying in their own urine and feces, they will learn to hold it. After 10 or so minutes, take your dog out and try again. If he goes, leave him out of the crate; if he doesn't, repeat the crating and try again in another 10-15 minutes.
The result is a dog who obeys with the "utmost of willingness and enjoyment," instead of a slinking, flattened dog who obeys out of fear of correction. Computing Services

Teach your dog to come: This is the ideal time to teach your puppy to come to you. Young puppies want to be close to you, and the hardest part will be to get them to stay away from you so that you can call them to repeat this command again. If you have two people training the new puppy, have them call her name and “come”, and then when she runs to the new person she is given a treat. Just repeat this a few times, and if the puppy starts running to the second person even without being called start working on something else. Puppies figure this out really fast, so DO NOT give her a treat if she is running to the new person even without being called.

How to protect your pet from fleas Puppies can begin very simple training, such as wearing a collar or learning about praise, at about 8 weeks. You can begin teaching the basic five commands described below when the puppy is 12 to 16 weeks old. Always keep training sessions brief—just 5 to 10 minutes at a time, at first—and always end on a positive note. If your puppy is having trouble learning a new command, end the session by reviewing something he already knows and give him plenty of praise and a big reward for his success. If your puppy gets bored or frustrated it will ultimately be counterproductive to learning.

Fetch Your Coupon Swap Your Classes Pet Food Bank Food Fun & News House training a puppy or adult dog may seem daunting, but almost any dog can be trained to wait at the door and relieve himself outside, instead of going in the house. Create a schedule for feeding your dog and taking him outside. Then, reward your dog with treats and praise when he relieves himself in the designated outdoor spot. When he makes a mess in the house, just clean it up and stick to the routine, since punishing a dog will simply make him afraid of you. Patience and a good sense of humor are all you really need to help your dog adapt to life as a pet.
