(1.7mb, broadband) We had a session with Brett at the end of January to address a couple of behavioural issues with our 11month old standard poodle, Leroy. We can not rave enough about how thankful we are, we now have a… dog that listens, does not jump all over our guests including very excited little children. We have been able to have kids running through the house and Leroy stays on his bed until invited to come join us instead of being banished outside. It is fantastic, we now can have him enjoy being part of the family on all occasions! Thank you Brett and Sitdropstay See more

Walking in front of your new puppy allows you to be seen as the pack leader. Conversely, if your dog controls you on the walk, he’s the pack leader. You should be the first one out the door and the first one in. Your puppy should be beside or behind you during the walk.

George – we are so thankful for the time you spent with us and our border collie Annie. You are patient, kind and so in touch with dogs behaviour. I learnt more in our 2 hours than we have in endless …hours of other trainings. I never in a million years thought that within that time Annie would have learnt to loose lead walk, stay and not jump on visitors. I cannot recommend you highly enough. Thanks again.

Contact Head Office © 2018 Mars. Incorporated and its Affiliates. All Rights Reserved. Discourage him from biting or nipping. Instead of scolding him, a great way to put off your mouthy canine is to pretend that you’re in great pain when he’s biting or nipping you. He’ll be so surprised he’s likely to stop immediately. If this doesn’t work, try trading a chew toy for your hand or pant leg. The swap trick also works when he’s into your favorite shoes. He’ll prefer a toy or bone anyway. If all else fails, break up the biting behavior, and then just ignore him.

2.1 Before 1900 We provide owners with a range of quality products, along with expert advice each Sunday morning. We had the pleasure of having Tracey help us with our Golden Retriever dog, Tessa. Tessa was 12 months old at the time and was a very playful ‘pup’. Tracey helped us learn the essential dog training skills to assist with Tessa’s behaviour, of which we noticed differences and improvements immediately. We continue to use these skills on a daily basis. Even the basic calling sound at the park to have her return to us is now a common sound in our household with the children. We highly recommend Tracey, as she is a patient and very knowledgeable dog trainer with an obvious passion for what she does. She has been our saviour!
